Yay, it’s football time. Germans are all about football. They have some 26000 football clubs in Germany and the most famous is the Bayern Munich club.
First thing you notice about Germany is the cleanliness and traffic discipline. Especially when you come from a third world country, these things amaze you.
Germany has some rich heritage and architecture.
Few villages and remote areas still have buildings that were constructed in 1700’s and 1800’s. The interior is changed but the exteriors still look old. They do have problems with parking their cars. Since the insurance is covered for almost everything from the car to kitchen, they don’t worry about parking on the street and collecting their parking tickets.
This country has a solution for everything- from dishwasher to mopping the house automatically, the machines do it for u.
If you are bored sitting at home, you can travel unlimited on a weekend train pass to any destination within Germany. Since I’ve been in Bavaria most of the time, everytime I travel , I notice the different shades of green trees and those green meadows and romantic places to spend day at.
You will notice Germans with Cars and caravans parked in their house. They love spending time hiking or travelling in their caravans. It’s like their mobile home. They love summer just like anyone. Since 9 months they have some rugged weather conditions, they enjoy every minute of summer while it lasts.
Things you should not talk to a German is about Hitler or world wars, Helles or Weiß beer, back bitching someone or your country.
They love to hear all happy ending stories. The education system is bit slow in Germany. Ideally a 4th class boy is still learning addition will be quite annoying, especially when you are an Indian. Germany has many good palaces and well maintained castles. The kings were crazy.
And finally, you be prepared to pay the bill for wasting water too. They have some strict laws protecting the environment.
In cities on an average a family spends 3k per month and in towns 1.8k euros.
So you can choose your stay wisely. Cities have trams to trains and some good food outlets. You find them missing in the remote places. There is much more about Germany… each one has a different story.
Let’s keep the stories going..
